There’s plenty of hydrogen on Earth. Seawater is packed with the stuff. Extracting it just takes a significant amount more energy than you’d get out of it. Mining it in space wouldn’t solve that.

I feel like this is unfair. If there’s 3 cars waiting and one of them honks, the light resets and the other 2 innocent cars now have to wait even though they didn’t do anything. This is just giving honkers the power to make other people’s days worse (even more than they already do).
