Good for you, but a sample size of one doesn’t say anything about an overall trend.

Fair enough. I still suspect less powerful cars have less severe accidents most of the time, even if they’re no less frequent. It’s certainly easier to handle a Civic on the edge of grip than a 720S or even something slightly less crazy like an M3 or a 911.

Possibly unpopular opinion: insanely fast cars on public roads is a recipe for disaster. Hellcats, Lambos, McLarens, the lot. (Teslas get a pass because you have to go through several menus to get full mind-bending power, which makes it harder for it to get away from you.) You don’t see tiny hatchbacks and Miatas

How much are you going to spend on gas for that Fit in its lifetime?

It’s all about aerodynamics. Mirrors displace a surprisingly large amount of air.

I kinda like it. It’s like a steampunk version of the Seven.

The C8 is not a Fiero. Literally the only things it has in common with a Fiero are being mid-engined, RWD and made by GM. It’s much closer to the C7 than it is to the Fiero.

I love that scene, and I kinda want a suit like that. It’s so silly but so cool, like those sequential turn signals on Mustangs.

I agree with all of this, especially the price thing. 160k (okay, 157k) is too much, especially now that the C8 is available for less than half the price. People will pay whatever you want to charge for a McLaren or a Lambo, but I think it’s a bit much for an Acura, even if it’s a really good Acura.

Not gonna like, that actually looks pretty badass. I totally understand why people do this.

Elon Musk is once again showing his egotistical tendency to pick really weird hills to die on.

You must be fun at parties.

Electric planes can’t come soon enough.

I’m with you - I’m just hoping there’s an actual EV Mustang soon, not a crossover with a pony badge on it.

I’m really, really happy that Ford is committed to EVs. But please, Ford... if you’re going to make an electric Mustang (and for the love of everything on wheels, please do make one), can it be an actual Mustang and not a crossover? Please? Don’t taint the pony badge by slapping it on some Escape-y four-door box.

This is a bummer, but I’m happy we’re getting it in any form. I’m willing to sit up a little higher if it means the electric revolution happens sooner. And, as much as we all hate to admit it, crossovers are easier to get into and out of than lower cars. You can slide your butt sideways into it, rather than lowering

That’s pretty ugly, but when I saw the headline, I was certain it was gonna be some 2020 GM car - almost all of them fit that description (except the Vette).

I haven’t checked one out in person yet. Is it really that bad?

Sigh. Can we be fucking done with this huge grille trend already? It doesn’t look good. It has never looked good.

I have a ‘12 Leaf as well. I personally can’t stand the looks of the i3, but I hear it’s quite a good car underneath. I’m also quite looking forward to the new electric Mini.
