I’ve never seen those pictured wheels on a F50. I’ve seen several examples over the years, but that’s the first time I’ve laid eyes on those particular rihmz. I have a few F50 valves sitting on a shelf, as a mechanic buddy had 60 “junk” ones left over after a rebuild.

Singer over that. And over a 918, GT2 RS, etc.

Yep, that happened to me.

Related: I’ve had a couple of Postal workers tell me in conversation off duty that junk mail is the only thing keeping the Postal Service afloat.

I prefer the G500 or 550. Better in every way, save acceleration. Ride, reliability, subtlety, utility, towing, cost of maint, etc. Anyway, that’s why I went with the “lesser” G

Glorious

Yep

Lol. I owned one, along with various other German and Italian toys. I’ve driven 935 and 962 in anger as well. Doesn’t make me special, but maybe makes me qualified to comment. You don’t have to take my word for it. Spend 30 seconds on a Google search and you will find many threads about F430 clutch issues by owners.

“but by the time we got the 2005 F430, they were superior to manuals in every way.” No. That 430 unit was still just a single dry clutch just like the 355. It sucked only slightly less. I won’t even get into my opinion of a manual always being better. To each their own and all that.

That's a good summation.

Now playing

That clip reminded me of this 2010 clip in many ways.

I hear ya. I’ve done all of the above with roadracing bikes and cars, plus wrenching on old airplanes. Pentosin used by a few Porsches I've owned is nasty stuff, but the worst is Skydrol. Many old airplanes have it coming out of many places.

Respectfully disagree. As a Post 9/11 UFNROTC guy who started in VQ(P), then went TACAIR.... Nothing is worth spending time in VP-30. The “culture” of that place is the most laughably out of touch in Naval Aviation. There is a shocking general lack of tactical mindset in MPRA as well. Your FITREP performance is

3 great years there. Miss skiing Mt. Baker

The EA-18G vs. EA-6B re your questions. Growler is essentially identical to Super Hornet for these questions. Ingress and egress with the strike package, and has similar range to the strike/fighter. They have similar big wing tanker needs.

Congrats!

Flew the EP-3E and the legacy Hornet. If they had a kid, it would be the Growler I suppose. But not really.

Well said Stef.

In the lower picture, you will notice this dealer didn’t even bother to spend cup of coffee money to order up a plastic trim fastener for the engine bay. Look near the wiper washer filler. This Mas is just a ticking time bomb the dealer wants to flip ASAP.

No. The new 3.5 EB is described as being completely new and shares few-to-no parts with the old 3.5 EB.
