You absolutely do not learn about all areas of law in law school. There was no immigration law course requirement for me to get my JD and no immigration law component to my state’s bar exam.

Well sure, good for you. Many schools approach the curriculum differently, but no law school has the capacity to teach every single area of law as a compulsory subject.

It’s not the job of the many lawyers who showed up uninvited and worked pro bono - while maybe it is an ACLU lawyer’s job, it wasn’t the job of the immigration lawyers who showed up to work without pay.
