I went through a similar, though not high-profile experience. I was so angry that I couldn’t box up all the shitty feelings and give it to the person who was causing me pain. Going through it was awful enough...and i just wanted the awfulness to end.

Funny story. I was stoned one night and looked over at my husband and randomly asked, “what do balls feel like from your end?” “Like when they get stuck to your leg; do you feel them from both sides?” to which he replied, “Feels like a water balloon resting on a clip board.” There you go....

I too support full beards.

+10 for excellent beard etiquette.

My warm and squishy breasts are always elbowed and fallen into and no one cares. It’s kinda my problem right? I deal with it like a grownup and don’t assume that it’s someone else’s problem.

Ugh, yes!! It’s offensive when we don’t give them our space. So annoying.

I thing the technical term is “being obnoxious.” :) I ride the Fremont line and I see manspreading all the time. I hear its not as common on Muni.

Ugh, I would love to figure out how to prevent this shit but am having such a hard time figuring out real solutions. I’m finally in a place to effect change but have no idea where to start. It also doesn’t help that we as of yet don’t have a problem so people aren’t buying into preventative training.

Yeah, I was waiting for bart at mission and there was a techbro explaining the ellen pao situation to his older father. His summary “, so this slut spreads her legs and regrets it; so she’s suing.” I just looked over at him with my best “O RLY” face. I then asked his father if he was okay that his apparently grown-up

If any of you are looking for a job, we’re hiring in the Bay area and I really want to focus on fleshing out our women in technical roles numbers. Also, people here aren’t assholes, don’t expect things to be perfect, and work together. so there’s that.

“ i worked with all these girls”

I was so missed...they were devastated.

Yup, I thought it might be a problem but was hoping the clean version would come on. My husband and I were the diversity at that bar and I was surprised that a large group of well-educated white people thought that was an okay thing to do. Especially after I said something.

I actually had a similar experience. Had a wonderful day out and about with a wonderful group of people. After 10 hours of drinking and bar hopping across the City we ended up in a bar that decided to open up karaoke to everyone. Went well until the original version of some jay-z song came on. All of a sudden every
