There’s a difference between leadership and asserting legal rights which do not exist. Once Biden’s election is certified, he should pursue all legal options to force cooperation with his transition team.

Overcorrection was common in that era, although this movie was arguably at the tail end of the phenomenon. I knew people who considered the color correction in the Fellowship of the Ring to be so distracting as to spoil the movie.

Kentucky: 62% voted for Trump. 58% voted for McConnell. That’s not a strong performance, that’s McConnell riding Trump’s coattails.

See Donald? THAT’s what it looks like when they’re dancing in the streets in New Jersey.

It was a pretty clear “we don’t want you dead, but don’t think we’re your friends either” to me.

Maybe take the W today (or when it comes) and worry about legislation later? The key is that Democrats have to start the “obstructionist Senate” rhetoric ASAP and use the power of the Executive branch almost as brashly as Trump has. Have a record of Biden’s accomplishments to point to in two years, alongside a clear

I agree: narcissistic liars don’t generally do a lot of advanced planning, because they’d have to care about and understand what motivates other people to do that.  The lie is always fitted to the immediate circumstances.

“It’s obviously suspicious that all these registered Democrats from a majority Black district are voting for Biden, because Black people know President Trump is the least racist president we’ve ever had!”

People really are that gullible. My mother tells me the man who worked on her heat pump told her that Biden was planning to end Social Security.

My predictions: McConnell quietly shivs Trump, supporting “counting all the votes” and saying generic things like “I believe this election represented the will of the American people.”

The narrow vision of supposedly principled third-party voters baffles me.

Conservatives shrug off defeats rapidly and retool for the next fight. Liberals declare that they’ve lost the war with every setback. That’s not a flaw: many conservatives only care about winning, where liberals care about the consequences of every loss (what it means for actual people). But maybe instead of declaring

I am sure I have done worse things, but this ended up being the most mortifying, however briefly:

It’s a Lovecraftian horror, but it’s garishly colored and has a musical number, so rate it G!

Is Kenobi a good guy? He cut that guy’s arm off without letting him shoot first, and unlike Han, he’s holding a weapon that can deflect blaster bolts.

Would have made it hard to write a paper about Arte Johnson.

“Jesus got caught and executed. WEAK! I like a Messiah who didn’t get executed.”

I will now channel his spirit from the other side...

Cohen is a comedian (maybe), not a journalist. It’s like saying James O’Keefe can be excused because of what Johnny Knoxville does.
