It was likely done on a shoestring budget with only one take available per line read. This was done well before anime was seen as a (semi) serious market in the US.
I would pay for that pay-per-view, even if it was guaranteed to last only 9 seconds.
I don’t hate him, knock his success or liberation from demeaning workplaces. I don’t like the games, but they aren’t for me. Lots of games aren’t. And it wouldn’t be the success these many iterations in if it doesn’t have something to resonate with players (like increasing the frequency they do pants laundry).
I’m down for this. I liked tweaking gambits, and hopefully they’ll shift away from some of the psuedo-mmorpg-ness (at least ditching the monster-loot-for-cash system).
Don’t expect an FFVII shooter, in other words.
