No. We need MOAR MEGAGIGA!

That's an awesome story. For some reason when I first read it I didn't notice you saying you both brought your decks so I assumed she was a complete novice, which would have been even awesomer.

Pointing out that someone's fallacious appeal to authority is a fallacious appeal to authority isn't ad hominem chum. In any case, you never actually supported any of your assertions and you're now just being smug to cover up the fact that you can't actually defend anything you said, so there isn't much point in

I suspect they wouldn't even cost so much if not for the extras like the LED lighting and the programmable keys and all that noise.

How exactly am I supposed to refute unsubstantiated assertions and unverified claims of authority on your part? Do tell.

The world may never know.

It's a serious question. Why in God's name would you use a tablet for photography. On what planet is that form factor appropriate? Put the glib spec-wankery aside for a minute and consider how people actually want to use the product rather than how to get the most shit crammed into it.

You are either a 15 year old who is full of shit or an adult who never grew up, is hopelessly naive, and terribly envious of anyone who has done better than you.

What exactly have you done in your life that makes you so virtuous and prone to writing off anyone who is the least bit successful as being "Lamborghini-driving high-school drop-outs," "cokeheads" and "alcoholics?"

I still need to know. Who the hell uses a tablet for photography? The cameras are meant for video-chatting, not taking still shots.

Why not just have both? Wired when you need it, wireless when you don't? Would it cost that much extra? I feel like once we're paying $150 range, an extra $5 for a wireless transmitter on top of the wired cable isn't too bad.

"Government involvement in pretty much anything automatically reduces freedom. "

"since that cuts out the people who print the manuals, burn the discs, make the packaging, deliver it to the stores,"

For normal computing an IGP and a Core i3 are way more than adequate.

Okay things like this work better as websites than as apps. I really don't get how developers for one-time-use novelty things like this think I'd be inclined to download an entire app, use it, and then delete it just to amuse myself for 30 seconds.

Isn't this exactly what last.fm does? Am I missing something here?

I think an "airline movie" is supposed to be a low-grade movie that you would only watch if you're super bored, stuck in one place, and have nothing to do.

That’s silly to say it’s "an American" habit. Honestly Westerners are probably some of the least wired cultures in the modern world. Cell phones had been selling like hotcakes throughout the Arab world for some time. Nearly every podunk village in India has villagers with cell phones now. Basically if it has

Lord of the Rings did a better job of being this generation's Star Wars than Star Wars ever did.

Windows or Mac? I distinctly remember Quicktime being the kindling that initially sparked a hatred of Apple in my misguided youth back when I fancied myself as being 1337.
