@darkboy1200: With my cousin, at least, I think it's a habit he picked up playing Metroid. He just doesn't think to save. If he's in a safe spot he'll just put his controller down, go off and do a load of laundry, and then come back and pick it up.

@darkboy1200: Thing is, if you don't do any exploration, ignore the sidequests, and don't bother picking up any additional squadmates, you can finish the game in like, 10 hours.

@najmah: The whole point of Dexter is that he was drilled from a very young age in blending in. He puts on a false front to hide his true nature, the same way we all do (but less extreme.) The idea is that you are supposed to be disturbed by how much of yourself you can see in him. Not by how alien he is.

All I want is a game where I get to be Don Karnage aboard the Iron Vulture.

@palmerkun: Oooh a felony. Truly terrifying. Nobody is going to come kicking in my door for making copies of my own files for my own use. How the hell would they even know?

@GardenMama: I remember when I was a kid some family friend of my grandparents came over. Apparently he was a classical dancer but he was part of some very ancient custom where some of the men would exclusively dress in drag and do female roles.

@Dr_Facepunch: Ha. He should just be grateful that Bear Grylls wasn't in the office today.

"Better programming" means excoriating people for producing "FILTHY HUMAN BABIES!" and not reporting on any life-saving medical technologies OR any awesome new ways to blow stuff up?

@Chupacabras: Yes, but how social is it if you're there all by yourself?

Yes but will it blend?

@Frequentlywrong: I had an HS creative writing teacher who was convinced that I had plagiarized a poem that I wrote for an assignment because the vocabulary was too advanced.

@NefariousNewt: I’ve actually had the opposite experience growing up. Girls were more often teacher’s pets and likely to get favors and leniency for screwing up than any of the boys were. In fact, I clearly remember at one point in English class I was working on a project with a (female) friend, but we both had to

Any one who deals with kids can tell that at that age girls typically are better behaved and interact better with adults (and thus get reinforcement for the idea that they’re cleverer and smarter.) This has been true basically since forever.

@orijimi: Pink hair does not exist as a genetic trait. They're just palette-swapping hair colors because it's easier to make those sorts of basic cosmetic changes to differentiate characters than going through the painstaking task of designing an entirely new skull-structure for everyone.

@orijimi: Blonde hair and blue eyes are obviously not the racial signifiers in Japan as they are in the US. Why is this so hard to get?

@sammy baby: The DC Metro is one of those rare exceptions that makes you sad about how much wasted potential there was.
