@LawProdigy: Aaaand what does any of this have to do with warranty abuse?

@LawProdigy: That's still a hassle to have to call and ship things.

The issue AFAIK, isn't the plastic cracking. The paint they use needs to strike a fine balance. You need a thick enough coat that it's not translucent, but it should also be thin enough to adhere properly to the glass layered on top. There is some hootenany about ion-exchange with gorilla class that I don't fully

@LawProdigy: Aside from having to make a trip to the Apple store every few months.

@Damn_Your_Sudden_But_Inevitabl...: Michael Jai White? I mean, Black Dynamite basically WAS Powerman right?

@TheJubjubBird: Everyone tries. For some reason Indian society was much more successful at keeping those groupings endogamous than others. This is borne out through genetic testing that finds extremely low rates of genetic drift between the various populations.

@ada, or ardor: Once on a date at a restaurant my date and I started writing various signs that your date is a douchebag on the sugar packets for the edification of those who would follow.

@TheJubjubBird: Not quite. Ambedkar, who drafted the Constitution, actually details how it works within Muslim and Christian communities in a pamphlet called "Caste in India."

@StarHen: Ugh. I can't believe NYT used the P-word. Proselytism has a very specific meaning in the Indian context and it's got nothing to do with social justice.

@Eralc Alegna: It's possible that you, being American, might be hearing terms they think you will understand.

"The "scheduled castes" or tribes - also known as Adivas - are loosely defined today as those formerly described as "Untouchables." (Although in some cases the term may refer to those in remote rural areas who did not participate in the caste system.) "

@Chris Braak: Comic book fanboys being capable of recognizing decent writing?

@moonphrogg: Oh read the mac blogs. There is so much hate for NVidia on there it would make Gizmodo's resident Apple-Haters seem . . .well no. Gizmodo's resident Apple-Haters pretty much take the cake.

@talkingstove: iTunes on OS X isn't that great anymore either. The iTunes store integration has ballooned the program's footprint beyond what's reasonable for what should primarily be a music player.

@moonphrogg: Nvidia has better graphics card drivers on Windows and Windows does OpenGL faster.

Did anyone bother to RTFA? The report talks about security on systems running Windows. So iTunes and Quicktime, running on Windows are insecure. OS X isn't mentioned in the report.

@reddingofish: Heinlein had a good take on it. Basically people compete intensely with each other in whatever their chosen fields are, but of course food is free and all the menial chores are either done as public service by volunteers or automated.

The problem with these master-planned cities is that they don't account for the preferences of the people who actually live there. It's important to plan out neighborhoods to make sure that necessary services are available, but some people genuinely like having yards. Some people don't like sharing walls.

Why be all hacky when you can just get Quicksilver?
