Not the longest I've ever worked on something, but still the best outcome! And a whole new reason to remember the 5th of November. The world just got a little geekier folks.
So it's finally Halloween. Sadly, I am at home with nothing to do. First Halloween in a very long time that I have been so. I'm also very bored so you might get another later.
A few years ago myself, my husband, my friend and her boyfriend went to a mutual friends movie premier. It was part of a festival and afterward The Thing was playing. The boys and I wanted to watch it on the big screen, and she had never seen it, we told her it wasn't that scary. I think she's still mad at us.
So I didn't do one yesterday mostly because I was tired and felt crappy. But since we are almost there... I cannot be the only one who watches all three Evil Dead movies back to back can I?
I hate clowns. And dolls. And puppets. Seeing this movie at when I was about 5 may have something to do with that.
Sometimes non-scary movies have awesome scary scenes. I especially love kids movies that are weird and creepy. This is one of my favorites with its acid trip boat ride.
Less than a week to go!
An iconic scene for today. Fun fact, the cast didn't exactly know this was about to happen, which is why they all looked so genuinely freaked out. They had a rough idea but no details.
The 1931 Dracula is still one of my favorite classic monster movies. I adore Bela Lugosi in this role.
By the pricking of my thumbs....
Today we have a classic scary film. Haunting of Hills House is one of my favorites. No gore, no jump scares, no big effects. Just quiet tension.
This is a terrible movie. But it has one hell of an opening scene. Trust me, this is the only part worth watching.
Ok trying this again. Kinja would not let me post last night. You might get 2 countdowns today to make up for it.
A short film is today's pick. Some of you may have seen this before but it might be new to others. This one falls under the quietly creepy category.
Hello my spooky friends. I am Nara, one of 5 people on the planet who likes Halloween III. This underrated gem brings us today's Halloween scene.
Dontchya wanna balloon? They float you know. They all float.
The Raven. I think this must be read on Halloween. There are a lot of great readings out there, what's your favorite?
It's getting close, so let's get scary. Today we have one of the best transformation scenes put to film. Anyone who says practical effects are not as good as digital needs to watch this.
A Halloween cartoon classic. Disney always did have a knack for dark and creepy.
I know I already did a Rocky Horror post, but it wouldn't be Halloween without this one. I love this movie so much.
