I understand. I agree. Plus Brady was only getting 2-5 yard pass plays anyway. He would've needed a big play to even get in FG range, assuming Seattle kicks for a touchback there.
They were down by 4.
No. It was second down. They've could've ran the clock down to 45-50 seconds, ran the ball with the best RB in the league. Don't get in? Call a timeout, because you have a timeout. You still have time to run two plays.
While Pete does have responsibility for this one, I think he's covering for the OC Bevell here, especially considering Bevell caught hella feelings about the call in question. He took onus for making the call, but also derided Lockette for not going for the ball harder. The fact that he brought the player into this…
That is not an overreaction.
Dude is from a working class family and earned his way at stanford. He was and still is very active in the community. He probably wasn't just hanging out with the frat boys. There are other people at Stanford, you know. Let's all assume who he hung out with.
Do you even know of the schedules these athletes have to keep almost every day? I was a regular student who taught and tutored student athletes. There's only a few who could make potentially "millions" yet all are subject to waking up at 4 or 5 am In the morning just to go to morning practice. They then go to class.…
This is the best articulation I've seen of this point.
I'd think rushing for over 150 yards in this year's NFC Championship and being a catalyst for his team's SuperBowl last year (and their run this year) fills their pockets a lot more than a post game interview.
Also, there is a litany of WoC entertainers who have had very eloquent or at least decent things to say about the protests in Ferguson and the latest social issues as a whole. I'm here for that all the way.
Gabby is awesome for this.
But he does answer media questions. He's "obligated" to talk to the media and answer however he wants. He answers the media's questions. What is your point?
Also, why didn't the Colts' balls face the same deflation?
For what it's worth, I believe the beginning of the game was at 55 F. It most likely cooled as the game went on, but I distinctly remember turning on the game and being surprised at how warm it was in NE.
What "good" is happening because of Joe Paterno? As someone else stated you fail to mention the numerous lives he helped ruin by standing by idly and only covering his own ass while a child molester run amuk in his own campus and administration.
What's hilarious is that the rule, which is an awful rule, is called the Calvin Johnson rule, because the first receiver to be fucked over by it is Calvin Johnson.
I agree to an extent. The Caddys are marketed not necessarily to older Gen Y-ers, and not to women either. Their commercials, as someone stated earlier in the thread, seem a bit pretentious and uptight.
Plus, Cobo has indoor parking as well as many People Mover stations. You can park at a garage downtown (and for most journalists, I assume their parking is paid for) and take the People Mover (which is really underrated) straight into Cobo. It's not that bad., and you don't have to walk in the cold for that long.
Smith has definitely regressed defensively since being on the Pistons. As he's gotten older he is a step slower guarding SF, and he doesn't follow rotation and pretty much plays selfishly defensively as well.
