This description of the rape scene reminds me of the Tyler Perry issue in "Temptation"

I haven't seen this movie, but I think this points toward an issue of intent versus reception when it comes to entertainment. Yea, Scorsese could be trying to prove the character is a horrible person, but would the audience as a whole receive his point? Directors/movies are criticized for mailing their points home and

Penn State is a wacky, wacky place.

Ya'll really mad at someone who just stated their opinion about a song? Wow LMAO

Your post sounds real elitist.

I don't understand how you can judge one's personal character because their publicist didn't want unflattering pictures of her client on the internet. Isn't that the job of a publicist?

I loved this article. Thanks!

I understand. I meant the solidarity is for white women thing in the sense of the mainstream is focused on this Challenger thing and not her line about a Black woman's experience as a domestic violence victim being made light of, which is IMO more egregious than this, due to Beyonce's intent with XO versus the

Like I said, it's not my place to tell people what to be outraged about. But again in my opinion there's other things to be mad about that are more indefensible than this.

It's funny to me that the mainstream outrage is this (which has a somewhat "understandable" explanation—although I don't agree with her use of the clip I can see where the producers were going), and not the Ike/Tina Turner line (which discusses a Black woman's domestic violence experience being used as a sexual

She doesn't need to include an audio clip of the Challenger to profit. She is Beyonce. The song could have not included the clip and it still would chart.

From "Scobies" up top:

I feel Jessica Lange takes selfies with duckface...however I have no issue with this because she is fly.

I find it weird that the more "mainstream" backlash is the Challenger audio (which she gives an explanation about) and not the "Anna Mae" line. Like I saw the backlash covered on GMA but no mainstream news outlet has really said anything about the Tina Turner line.

I am not excusing what she did re: Challenger audio but she did release a statement about her use of the audio.

I totally forgot about Angel Haze...she would be awesome.

This needs to happen.

So off the top of my head:

Can we vote for Beyonce to do a all female r&b/hip hop artist cipher remix to "Yonce"? That shit would be cold.

She is that chick.
