I had a 1989 Golf that used to accelerate on it’s own in cold weather. Whenever exiting off a highway in cold weather, the glitch would cause the engine to rev. Basically, you’re trying to drop from 60 mph to 30 and the car is trying to do 80 mph. This would only happen when attempting to exit. Slapping it in neutral…

If more could do math, they would figure out that the overall cost of owning a hybrid or diesel is higher in many cases. Driving a plain ol 4 cyl. engine is cheaper in my case as I am sure it would be for many people.
