Death Note is dope.
Death Note is dope.
This episode rocked me on a personal level. I wouldn't dare say it's the best of the show or anything, not even close, but no episode has reached out and shook me up like this one. I don't think I've ever been affected in such a personal, direct way by a show before.
I love the books, and they are super re-readable.
I feel like this is setup for his arc in season 2. Eliot fucks Fillorian boys out of wedlock = Fillorian scandal, putting the throne at risk, etc. (book 2 Eliot doesn't have much to do besides reign and get laid).
"This is a major u-turn from the book character, who has noble intentions even at the worst of times."
BOOK SPOILERS FOLLOW (but clearly they no longer have anything to do with the show)
This is the first episode to actually feel like a real TV show, and I liked it.
