Subtle, insidious stuff like The (Japanese) Ring, The Blair Witch Project and (oddly) The Conversation disturb the sleep out of me, whereas schlocky stuff like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Exorcist and tha admittedly more comical Cabin in the Woods don't scare me at all. Where would Stranger Things be positioned

Is it scary? (I'd like to start watching this but also, I'd like to get some sleep tonight)

How dare you, that show was all in the best possible taste.

Ah, Veep - perfect recommendation, thanks! I've seen all of The Thick of It (& In the Loop) and keep eyeing Veep but needed a nudge/reminder to actually start watching it.

I watched season 3 of silicon valley. Jared's episode 7 line about Harriet Tubman is still making me chuckle.

I watched Six Feet Under in real time but couldn't bring myself to watch the fifth season as one of the storylines was a bit too close too home. I claim it as one of my all time favourite shows but feel a bit fraudulent as I'm yet to watch that 5th season 10 years later.

Nah, it was just sloppy research, no one says West HamS. Unless they're referring to some preserved pork they purchased in the west of some place.

Jarringly, she actually said 'West HamS' with an S at the end.

My lint is oblong. My lint is blue.

Buried, a criminally underwatched and brilliantly written series from 2003 starring Lennie James.

Oof, you've just induced a heady proustian rush.

I thought Spaced was set in Cricklewood? Don't take that away from me!

Canadian netflix is the best! It's my no. 1 Hola destination.

I was seeing him as a roided up Damien Lewis.

Same. There was a family of kids like that on the street I grew up on in the 80s - poor, unsupervised, perpetually grubby and trouser-less - who'd often wonder into our (and other neighbour's) house(s) unannounced to play nintendo, watch tv and eat so I particularly enjoyed that moment in the show. Would like it if

Agreed. Though I'm exercising caution in wishing for it too hard in case season 6 finds Carrie, Saul and a (half-dead) Quinn tearing it up in Nigeria facing off against Boko Harem. Increase in black faces among the cast? Yes! Nuanced portrayal of Nigeria with local actors taking roles rather than american actors

Last week's dubbed in reference to Paris was a little misjudged then.

The lady who sent the text message was black, what more do you want?

Did anyone else catch Jonas refer to Quinn as 'that guy in the video'? Surely he would have recognised him from his half-arsed attempt at nursing Quinn back when all he was suffering from was a gunshot wound?

    I am not a number…etc
