So, the period dolls had period undergarments. Not, like, Thinx period undergarments, but historically appropriate to their era.

The older dolls had a heavy string threaded through their neck hole, so it was possible to take off the head (to wash/set the hair, to replace a damaged head, or switch out the eyes) and easily knot it back down. The doll’s clothes hid the rather bulky but super functional string.

It seems like they are more peeved that it’s a move toward the dolls being made more cheaply without reducing the cost to the consumer. Don’t try to sell me a $115 doll and cut corners.

Soon, American Girl Dolls will be banned entirely and replaced with Russian dolls.

But also led to the only Lin Manuel Miranda play I ever saw on Broadway. bring it on the musical - which story wise was more bring it on again.

Octavia Spencer should win an Oscar for the “I know you probably believe that” line. For me that was the most memorable and timely moment in the whole film.

I attended public school through high school and then a public university. I am currently in a law school full of people that went to private prep schools and private universities and I’m kind of crushing them academically.
