It's true it might mean very little to the film as it ages, but believe it means a LOT to the Producers and Directors (and Actors if they are recognized) the salary increase and the caliber of jobs is worth every penny and second of shit they have to go through to get that statue.

Absolutely agree - That was kind of my point (poorly stated)- that it was HOPEFULLY the campaigning that put him over the edge from DuVernay, and not the fact that he was a white man and she wasn't, since they made such similar style films.

That is exactly what Morten Tyldum did. He's only made a couple of films and This is his first English language film, - I guarantee no one in the Academy had any awareness of his filmography before this. The Imitation Game was totally enjoyable, but beyond Cumberbatch, nothing I thought deserved an Oscar - and

Everyone is not "Responsible" TWO CHAINZ.

Not that they will get nominated - but there are a couple of interesting choices on the short list - including Hal from Only Lovers Left Alive, and the Lorde song from The Hunger Games.
But I do agree that I Love You All is an insane snub. The whole movie should have been nominated, but this seemed like a sure shot to

Oooh yes, opening shot of Only Lovers Left Alive. It was like he was literally pulling us into the films world.

Agreed. I think about that scene all the time.

Check out a movie called "Adam". Hugh Dancy and Rose Byrne. It's really lovely film. Adam is portrayed as being smarted than average (most people on the spectrum are in some aspect) but he's by no means a titan.

Yeah, Nope. Just sounds like the same song, covered by Jack Johnson.

Were we watching the same episode? This was the funniest one of the season. and last season. There were so many one liners I died at that I can't ever remember them all. I think you take this show too seriously. This shit was brilliant.

Agreed. And the music was terrible, as if they had synced the tracks to the wrong bits. I really didn't like the episode, and by the end I had figured out that was one of the main reasons.

OUTLANDER. I'm not joking. They are so much damn fun

Man you really don't get this show at all huh?

He's really the only character/actor who consistently manages to keep the delicate balance that (used to) make the show special - between being a ridiculous and hilarious nonsense romp and a meaningful and emotionally satisfying show. He hits ALL the notes- which is something Eric isn't even managing anymore. Even in

It does make me sad that no one ever mentions how Jason/Ryan Kwanten is the last thing worth watching every week. Either they have a special writer who only writes his character or Ryan kwanten is just that good, because honestly he's all that keeps me goin. And Eric's 80s hair, which I'm afraid May now be extinct….
