I totally agree, the review focused on how it didn’t have anything surreal and the title was just “barbershop” though the show is great at subverting expectations and, as you said, taking something small and expanding it to ridiculous proportions. So it took the idea of a barbershop and spent maybe three minutes

I really loved this episode, everything from Brian Tyree Henry’s flourish of his “cape” after Bibby labels him a magician to the look of uncertainty and discontent after being asked which guard he wanted at the end of the episode. Alfred is a big dude, especially compared with Bibby, but I really think it is a

Underwhelming? You’ve obviously have never come across someone like Bibby. That was an excellent episode depicting the exasperation in dealing with a “hustle man” and all the bullshit that comes with his/her life.

And he ‘robbed’ Al - all of his shit was time Al could’ve spent doing *anything* else besides deal with that man’s crap. But..loyalty

This episode was the most overt about it being “Robbin’ Season,” but I like the way the show has built in theft to every episode.

Episode 1: Mrs. Winner’s robbed by kids
Episode 2: Al robbed by his plug
Episode 3: Earn gets “robbed” by sexy-voiced strip-club scammery (having to buy the table AND the bottle that “comes

When Bibby rested his arm on Al’s head.......I hollered.

“Did anyone else pee a little when we hit that car?” “Just me?” “OK.”

Great episode. Also I love/hate the comedian guest star Powell, because he looks and acts so much like my friend from hometown 2 hours from Atlanta. Like when I saw the guy on Def Comedy Jam I had to text all the other hometown people, look at this guy he is the black twin on J- (who is white).

“Bibby is not obnoxious enough to be memorable, but he’s obnoxious enough that you mostly spend the episode wonder why Al doesn’t take his business elsewhere.”

Man, I havent been in this much disagreement with a review in a while. I thought this was the best episode so far of the season. I think Atlanta can sometimes over-reach and go too broad, but by just focusing on something small and expanding it to ridiculous proportions, it felt specific and unforced in a way that

After a rewatch of the first season, I appreciate ‘Atlanta’ a lot more than initially. I thought tonight’s episode was great. Not to counter the reviewer’s opinion, but it worked for me. I kind of thought Alfred was a saint.

Thank you for gassing Howard up so much in the beginning to soften the blow, because that gut punch of foolishness hurt.

Do y’all remember the “Free Jahar” movement of fangirls of Boston Marathon bomber Dzokhar Tsarnaev? I remember this risible piece at the Atlantic where the author tried to claim that this somehow wasn’t a manifestation of hybristophilia...and then got busted using a sock puppet in the comments to defend herself

I was raised in the 90s, the advent of the Internet. Ive witnessed the most Vile acts of man thanks to the Internet. Being called nigger over Sega online and later Xbox live, seeing humans obsession with vanity as seen on Instagram and snapchat, taliban beheading videos, two girls and 1 cup, reading stats that 53% of

in a perfect world everyone giving him these types of letters or donations would be put on a watch list.

Re the type of mail person has received: Because some people are straight up trash. That’s all I got.

On the other hand, they do explain what she (or her mother) had ever done to those guys that made them so violent.

I hope Veronica, Cheryl and “Antoinette” went to rescue Nana Rose after the end of this episode.

Hahaha holy shit, that’s a good point. And I can’t think of anything less menacing than Cole Sprouse with a switchblade. It was adorable.

That’s a scary knife. I feel so intimidated right now.
