I think Earn really said it best when he said “I don’t know what I want.” He manages his cousin, not because he has a burning desire to be a manager, or even because he loves his cousin’s music, but because it was an (and maybe the only) opportunity presented to him. It’s the same thing with Van; she’s an opportunity

Helen has to be seen to be believed. There’s actually a law that says everything within the town has to conform to the same Bavarian facade, so you’ll drive a few miles outside downtown and see liquor stores that look like cute little village shops.

Mind blown!

“You sound more like Serena Williams dad.”

I lived in the suburbs of Atlanta for a few years as a child, but thought the show made up all this. I also didn’t know Zazie Beetz was German: I thought the actress just did a really good job of learning to speak it!

Having been “an Earn” myself, I think I can sum up his attitude towards his relationship with Van with a line from Phonte:

Earn definitely has the can’t-pretend-to-give-a-fuck demeanor of someone who is already checked out of a relationship. I wouldn’t want to play along with the creepy white people nonsense either, but you at least exasperatedly force yourself to do the weird dance with your girlfriend’s weird friends if you love her,

AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA

What in the holy motherfuck is white culture??

White people are such a fucking trip. Like, any place there are successful Black people, those colonizers have the audacity to suggest that they’re enjoying what should be white success. The caucasity of it all!

Nothing burns a white woman more if they are not the center of attention in a situation, especially when they are talking about their kids. Nobody gives a fuck about Brianna and little Zackary, Brenda!!

“Who’s the Al Sharpton for white women?”

...he wanted more white fans but that hip-hop music and the black cheerleaders were scaring away the white people.

But this story is different. The acts are far more egregious for one simple reason:

Put a tanning lamp in her cubicle with a note that said, ‘Summer’s on its way, sure you wanna go into it THAT pale?’

Are there even any white people in Atlanta?

True story: my white coworker said she and her family left Atlanta because you couldn’t get hired anywhere as white person in that area and are treated as a second class citizen. With a straight face.

I am screaming at this damn review alone...so I can only imagine trying to actually watch this live. LMFAO, issa no for me dawg.

This is a thing?

Thanks for sharing...but it’s a no. SMH I passed on Love Jones The Musical (wait did it even get made)
