As someone who has been in management and worked with unions, most of them are shit and keep people who shouldn’t be employed, actively dragging down the company. I can’t count the number of times we’ve tried to get rid of someone, for a fully legit reason (stealing! abuse of fellow employees!) and the union somehow

I”m not denying there’s a major racism problem in policing in America.

I actually came down to the comments thread to say something like this, or at least related to it. Just browsing Kotaku’s front page is like seeing how angry you should be about this and that. “People are arguing about Pokemon visuals.” “Critical Role essentially has the same cast it always does...” “The Inventory

That pretty much somes up 99% of the “outrage” reported by the news thjese days.  Its a handful of people on Twitter bitching.

No one is ‘so mad’, it’s just like 20 people on Twitter. I’ve seen just as many people be happy to be represented and feel seen by the campaign.

This may seem like an overly cynical and bad-faith interpretation of what Critical Role is doing with this new campaign.”

That works out to a little under $12/month to put it into perspective, which makes it cheaper than Netflix’s standard plan. When you throw in the free shipping and Whole Foods discounts it still seems like a reasonable deal.

Though not as catchy to sing doo doo doo-doo doo-doo after.

A few months? It’s been on a downward spiral for a few years now at least. The loss of Totilo was a big start of it.

Legit need Defector to expand and add verticals under their subscription model, maybe add separate pricing etc. but that is the only future where bloggers/writers can be free to write and blog about the shit readers want to see. No shame to the current staff but do we need daily posts on how ‘mad’ (000.1% of Twitter)

This is a crazy ass take that those maps play remotely similarly.

At the very least, the idea that she’ll be written off simply as an actress who takes her clothes off doesn’t seem to have a lot behind it.

From the profile in question:

You know there are other celebrities aside from Joe Rogan that appeal to 18-35 year olds right? Just like there were morons appealing to that demographic in the 60s 70s 80s 90s

Yeah, no. They are NOT ashamed of their animation. And hell, Disney and Pixar films bring in millions from adults without kids every year. They keep making live action versions because they own the rights to all of this stuff and it is easy money.

I always thought they were supposed to be dwarves, as-in, the fictional race of miners who work and sometimes live underground, have a masterful understanding of stone and precious gems, and are known for being industrious.

I can’t wait to hear all the new songs like “Whistle While You Protest For Fair Labor Practices” and “Someday My Prince Will Rob Me Of My Agency.”

especially since a controversy rose up surrounding a Snow White ride at Disneyland simply because it retold the exact plot of the movie”
