I always liked these cars, and finding one in this condition goes beyond rare. But this is no $39,000 car, as I’m sure the seller will learn.

The $14,000 5-liter Mustang LX.  I think that was in 1988.

The car may have been worth it BEFORE the door hinge change, but now—assuming the work needed to set the car “right” again (I was told that a similar change on a Chrysler 300/Dodge Magnum requires replacement of the front fenders for clearance) to be more than meets the eye, it gets an ND from me.

It’s been almost three years since the Business Roundtable (of which GM is a member, as is Ford) delivered their famous statement, “The Purpose of a Corporation” (which the CEO of GM signed, as did the CEO of Ford). In it, they questioned Milton Friedman’s assertion that a corporation’s only purpose is to make the

It’s not just how far it will go on a charge, it’s how long said charge will take. Thank you anyway, I have a feeling someone’s considering a cottage industry converting electric “conversion” vehicles (cars, pickups and SUVs based on conventional vehicles) back to ICE power, much as they did converting Oldsmobile

ANY full-sized pickup or SUV.  I’m tired of having to duck around them while driving (what was) a “normal” sedan.

Your comment reminds me of the guy from Harrison Township, Michigan who, a decade ago, inherited the shell (no engine or transmission) of a 1963 Pontiac Tempest he was storing in his garage for his neighbor. He called a local junkyard (they weren’t interested in anything that old) and a guy collecting scrap metal (he

It’s a shame that Chevrolet was allowed to buy the exclusive rights to produce the Indianapolis Pace Car for the foreseeable future. The variety of old pace cars was cool.  Then again, with Ford and Chrysler producing only four actual cars (that aren’t pickup trucks, vans or SUVs) between them, there isn’t a lot to

It’s not just pilots. I read an article where flight attendants are only paid for the time they are in the air. Hours boarding, attending to passengers on the ground, and delays are basically donated to the airline.

In the early 1990s, my then-girlfriend saw the famous Winky the Cat stuffed animal in my J. C. Whitney catalog, and decided her Fiero wouldn't be complete without one.  Of course, I bought one for her.  It needed to be wired into the car's electrics (so that the cat's left eye red light would blink with the car's left

This is the first time I’ve seen a NPoND survey at 50-50.

I’m tempted to say Mattel. I haven’t heard of a Matchbox or Hot Wheels car ever letting its owner down.

The door damage isn’t much of a problem; these are beginning to show at the local self-serve yards, so a replacement should be available. But 130,000 miles on any German car is about when the problems start.  Thank you anyway, but NP from me.

...bite the bullet and accept smaller margins?!  This is where the shareholders assert who REALLY matters.

I don’t think Jalopnik will get many people protesting this. Why? Because nobody wants to criticize Jeff Bezos; everyone wants to be the next Jeff Bezos. And it’s all only X-number of years of hard work, one NFL or NBA contract (their kid’s, not theirs), one PI/PL lawsuit, one really, really good idea, one inheritance

I imagine if you saw one, you would be tempted to crush it like a Concord grape.

Damn.  I thought it was going to be, well, like, a car.  Not a crossover.
