It really helps to use the talisman that allows you to slow time, and also there’s other talents/weapon armor pieces that really help in this fight.  I used this fight as my “end-game” boss fight, it was so hard I had to come back a couple days to beat it.  I hated/loved this fight and it really made this game amazing…

Any chance it’s related to the quest where you have to destroy the final beacon towers? It’s part two of the quest and the locations are unknown, maybe this static comes up when you are near a beacon that needs to be destroyed as part of the quest?

I’m loving Ni No Kuni II for much of the same reasons, it’s lighthearted and fun, the visuals are always stunning, the music is top notch and varied. The story, as far as I’m concerned, has been fun as well, it’s not complicated or dark, or too real. It’s like playing through a fairy tale and there’s nothing wrong…

There is a spot if you leave the travel agency on the right hand side, just about where the paths converge, at this spot everytime you walk over it a bolt strikes, so I also did the achievement but didn’t have to worry about when the next bolt would strike, or even wander aimlessly...
