I’d suggest a Lexus LS of some sort (reliable, very safe, doesn’t encourage aggressive driving), but that might fall in the “too big” category. If you think you can make it work though you can basically get a limo ride to and from the train station before handing an 18 year old a car that will keep her safe and on the

But it’s the perfect car if he eventually decides his daughter shouldn’t be driving, since the transmission will probably explode within the next few years.

I kept trying to justify the price, and I can’t. Someone with the budget to buy and maintain this car should put that money towards something newer and less tinkered with. Someone with a $15k budget shouldn’t go anywhere near this car. No dice.

DeSantis is a hateful sack of shit, but he is also doing this to keep his MAGA profile in top form. He knows Trump will die or go to prison someday relatively soon. In fact I think he has to keep doing things like this because he needs the cruelty points to make up for his utter lack of a personality.

I’m not claustrophobic, but the idea of getting stuck in a space like that scares the shit out of me.

For their sake I hope Earhart and Noonan drowned in the crash. That would be more merciful than making it to the island only to die of exposure and dehydration over a few days or weeks.

Lol, far be it from me to correct Dr. Jones but I don’t see this plane surviving any attempt to bring it to a museum. Not even if he throws his whip around it.

I hope they don’t try to recover the plane from that depth. Better to leave it in place than to accidentally destroy a fragile artifact. It can be studied from the bottom of the ocean with how good our ROVs have become.

Part of it is logical too. Horses are actual living and breathing animals. Keeping a horse healthy and happy isn’t easy. Stealing a horse puts them into an odd place, surrounded by odd noises and the like where they can panic or whatever.

I went to school in rural Indiana, not far from Sturgis. There were always a few horse and buggies in the Wal Mart parking lot. I didn’t follow any of the Amish around in the store to make sure they weren’t buying TVs and toasters on the low down.

This lady isn’t being a good neigh-bor.

IIRC, I got out after I made a dick joke that a former writer here really enjoyed. It’s probably not a sustainable path for everyone.

Here’s my plan: Combine this very nice Trans Am with a new or CPO Impreza. The only thing this particular Trans Am is missing in is a screaming chicken, but you can get one of those applied to complete the look if you want. It’s a solid deal for $20k IMO, and it’s better to spend more up front for a clean car than to

If the Lions win on Sunday, I’m telling my boss not to expect to see me on the Monday after the Super Bowl. Hell I might have to tell my family not to expect to see me.

I’m convinced that there are people who think the steel belt is there to indicate when you need to replace the tires.

This car is so dull and boring to drive that the previous owner must have forgot they even had it. Either that or they only drove it when they absolutely had to, hence less than 1,000 miles per year. $8k is a bonkers price for a fleet spec car that will disappoint you every time your cheeks meet the seat.

I’ll take this as a challenge.

Per usual the news focuses almost entirely on how homelessness affects those who have homes.

I’m thinking full size sedan if the goal is fitting 3 kids in a 2 row vehicle. Width is more important when you need to get multiple car seats in the same row. Then you have to factor the balance between reliability and driving enjoyment. A 7 series will give you just about the best driving experience you can have in

I guess he didn’t get to the choppah fast enough.
