Rather than looking for a specific manufacturer or type of car, I punched the main requirements into Autotrader and looked through the smorgasbord of vehicles. It came up with some interesting suggestions, but I think the best was a Genesis G80 with the 3.8 turbo V6. You’re basically getting the next level version of

A scam artist CEO got ghosted by a company know for scamming its business partners. So basically this is going exactly like we’ve known it would be going.

I wouldn’t buy it because I don’t think my insurer would cover it. If the seller has documentation showing it was totaled for cosmetic damage, and an independent transmission shop signs off on the sometimes problematic 5 speed auto, then I think it’s a fair price. Maybe not a bargain but reasonable enough for what you

But it has so many exotic destinations it could visit, like other parts of Russia!

I expected to ND this one, but the more I look at it the more I like it. It’s genuinely rare and the cosmetic issues can either be fixed for a reasonable price or ignored. I’d get the dent repaired, throw in some sports seats from a US spec model, and call it a day.

Gems are weird. I used to assume all topaz were yellow because of Diablo II. Then I was shopping for earrings for my spouse and found out there are blue topaz. That left me in a pickle, because I didn’t know if I was getting 1-20 lightning damage or 3-7 cold damage for her.

I immediately wondered what $22k could get you in the Ram SRT-10 market. This is a neat little truck, but I don’t think it is worth the premium the seller wants for it.

I’m guessing the seller means liter by LT, but I had that same reaction. Wrong manufacturer dude!

Wayne Lapierre is already saying this never would have happened if the consumed hominid had an AR-15.

Thanks for the insight, and I’m sorry that you’ve had to deal with so much bullshit.

Some of the unmanned submersibles used for this kind of thing have cables attached to the mothership. They usually provide power and control, and I don’t know that they are also meant to pull the ROV back up to the surface if it loses the ability to move itself. Once you get down to depths like the Titanic you need a

The closest thing to a silver lining is that at least they died quickly when the pressure hull failed. That’s a much better way to go than spending days trapped in a coffin waiting to suffocate.

This is going to end with one of them shooting the other, isn’t it?

I don’t want to ruin Titanic for you, but it ends with some billionaires dying while trying to go to the bottom of the ocean in a shoddily built submarine.

These cars make great budget cruisers. As for being collectible… meh. I’d spend half what this seller wants on the nicest Lexus LS I could find and wind up with a car that makes this Lincoln look like the pig in lipstick it really is.

On the SS Kamloop, which sank off the coast of Isle Royale in Lake Superior in 1977, a preserved body nicknamed “Old Whitey” is scaring the living daylights out of curious looky loos to this day.

That’s not a stupid question at all. Transponders that can send a signal from that far down do exist, but given everything we’ve learned about Oceangate it wouldn’t surprise me if they didn’t include one on this little death trap.

The myth that Titanic’s builders and White Star thought the ship was unsinkable took off after it was lost. Creating that level of hubris sold newspapers. The Olympics were very safe by the standards of their day, but Captain Smith’s recklessness in trying to plow through a known ice field at flank speed ultimately

This car fucks. Nice price.

It’s not a scientific endeavor, it’s a cottage industry for wealthy, thrill-seeking tourists.
