It’s amazing to think that Tahoe — the lake — has been sitting there the entire time that we’ve all been evolving from tree-living poop-flingers to our current state of upright walkers and social media followers.

So your view was more along the lines of drive what you like and don’t let the city’s road problems dictate your choice, if I am reading this correctly. What did you end up getting? We don’t get the chance to find out what someone actually bought all that often.

As a local, do you routinely get street flooding that is too deep for a sedan or hatchback without being too deep for a crossover? I only have a few streets around me that flood routinely, and every time it happens the streets are full of vehicles that tried to drive through the water and failed. Lifted brodozers are

Ha ha, you might as well suggest a flying horse.

Honestly, 8 inches of ground clearance versus 5 inches won’t make a difference in most floods. If the flood waters go above 8 inches your vehicle will still suffer water damage. I wouldn’t worry about that unless you are willing to go with a lifted truck that will give you more of a chance.

I’m sorry to hear that, Lawrence. In the end you have to listen to your body and decide what you can or cannot tolerate.

It is a very cool truck, but at that price nobody should even take the dealership seriously. They probably bought it at auction for a fraction of what they want. I will give them credit for something though; New Tang Dynasty is a great name. They got as close to calling themselves the Wu Tang Dynasty as they possibly

Sounds like a good one to watch. Thank you for the writeup.

Damn, Kyrsten Sinema is getting desperate for attention.

If the perp is to be believed, this was a case of don’t talk to the devil and drive.

I’m guessing that they expect to get a decent amount of base model sales. If I were buying one though, I’d gladly spend a little more to get the better engine.

3,300 pounds feels downright porky for such an otherwise small vehicle, but I guess that’s just the compact crossover market in a nutshell.

It could be a fun oddball at $3,000. For $7,000 though I need a lot more than the novelty of Isuzu badges to reel me in.

I’m a Michigander, but this is an area where we can’t be all smug when it comes to Ohio. Some of the cars I see while driving around here are laughably unsafe for public roads.

“Courtesy car” also means it was loaded up with floral arrangements to take from the funeral home to the graveside service.

Looking at low mileage 1st gen Vipers, this one is well below what other sellers are asking for. Is it far enough below to make up for what it will need to undo the effects of sitting for a few years? I have no idea. You can’t, or at least absolutely shouldn’t, take this beauty to Bob Boberson’s CDJR to get in queue

Awesome story! That look on your face in the last picture is one of someone who has touched the edge of human existence.

Accident-free Carfax, eh?

I don’t know much about hearses, but some of the commenters in the auction thread think this was the car that took the deceased from the hospital/morgue to the funeral home. That would explain why they were cool with the driver smoking as evidenced by the burn marks on the seat. It’s not like their usual passenger

You can get pretty recent Subaru STi with that budget. Make sure you leave enough budget for a very thorough inspection to find out how much hoonage it has already lived through. These cars can look surprisingly good while being more worn out than hand me down clothes making their way to child #5.
