Any reputable place will most likely not pierce you with a bar and you will have to have a hoop or horseshoe shaped one first. It is also extremely painful. (Yes I’ve done it and I have a very high tolerance for pain.)

I’m pretty sure they also get their clothes from assorted shops in China.
