You clearly "took issue" with the "gendered" "insult", and the concept of American History X recreation.

"Concerned mom" is just a stand-in for the general attitude - one of many; it can be amusing to pick because of the iconic Simpsons scene and other such imagery.

Oh no, "gendered" - let's keep all the insults as vague as possible, in your society. You fucking bore.

Wasn't talking to you.

Well I'll give it another read, but if it contained the "hey Jar Jar Threpio" then you kinda did provide some easy ammunition there :D

Out of touch and unaware - you don't understand that this is something that horror and exploitation fans like RLM (incl. or especially of cheesy/comedic horror) would have fun to shoot for an audience with similar tastes.

"There is also a lot of talk of tone"

"but they seem like they consider themselves the final word on the topic, and seem irritated that anyone wouldn't agree."

"So "screenwriting-manual boilerplate" pointing out blatant flaws in the prequels, how they're structured, how the characters are written, etc.,"

" It's just that responding to all the newly minted prequel apologists felt beneath Plinkett somehow."

"This new review was more of a criticism of the direction that Star Wars is headed with Disney cranking them out, and while they labored on it too much, the defense and "redemption" of those films seems to be in line with that."

"that Plinkett goes into great detail about how pedestrian the direction is?"

"I was surprised (and a little disappointed) that Plinkett went through such trouble answering Jesse and other critics, when the original reviews can speak for themselves."
Well, they do, and not all that well as it turns out - this is NOT to praise the AV article, just to make that clear :D

"But their view of the prequels did evolve because of all the activity leading up to The Force Awakens… and surprisingly they ended up with more positive impressions of the prequels AND Lucas."

"I say, I only deem movie analyse worth my attention "

You jokers discussing the moral basics of dark humor and horror entertainment as if you had just encountered those concepts for the first time - what a bunch of out of touch plonkers, echt jetz.

". The interstitials capitalize on the humor potential inherent in the kidnap and torture of women, which is pretty tasteless"
