"pieces" indeed.

Have fun with that. Linux as a desktop OS is worse than OOo or LibreOffice are at being Office apps.

In my experience, OOo has about 90% of the features of MS Office. Unfortunately, for the people that know how to use Word or Excel, that missing 10% is the basis of most of what they use, so they genuinely NEED MS Office. However, if an OOo user opens any file created by one of the MS Office people and either saves

the new BSG had a much neater 'jump' effect, though it wouldn't work in the star trek universe.

NOT Tetris. Maybe it's because I'm a nerd who loves Tetris, but I can tell you definitely that those are not Tetris pieces. At best those are Pentomino pieces. PENTOMINO PIECES ARE NOT TETRIS PIECES.

That Tron Legacy image almost certainly Serinda Swan.

I work for a company that performs automated engine tests on engines that size. they're neat.

the desire to ban words is as futile as it is misguided. once the words of the day are banned, new ones will pop up right in their place.

just use ffmpeg from the command line; write a shell script around it if you like. you'll never need another video or audio conversion program, ever.

@rookcnu: the .img that the .bat file creates won't show up in windows. plug it into the ATV and reboot it.

@ogoldberg: use the USB Image Tool to backup your stick before you "restore" it with the image that the .bat file creates, then restore your backup back onto the key. And run it as administrator, in Device mode, as the instructions say.

that is of such unbelievably low quality that i couldn't watch more than about 6 seconds of it. you people watch too many internet videos if you can't tell that isn't a real commercial.

@virgilstar: not everyone needs, has, or even wants an iphone.

@Flipper_1938: minis aren't small enough to fit under the runningboards of any car or truck that is even close to stock. the tahoe rolled because the mini probably struck its rear half, put it into a sideways spin, and the tires slowed the lower half of the car faster than the top half, resulting in a partial or full

Microsoft Natural Keyboard 4000.

i did this when i was a kid (my father and I did it, anyway) and we found that all the cold water in the house was replaced with warm water, and the water heater chugged along all the time.

unless there are airbags on the pavement, airbags on the outside of a car will only move the location of impact from car-biker to biker-pavement. i suppose you'd also prevent a small amount of damage to the car with an external airbag but i can't think of anything else positive about the idea.

get enough sleep and your body will wake you up on its own, without need of external device or stimulation.
