You’re damn right. No one ever remembers that McNair had the talents to have made himself king of the early to mid 00s. And his injuries owed a lot to Fisher misusing him and fucking up his body (with more than a tinge of the usual racism regarding the durability of black quarterbacks and how they should run not throw)

Vince Young belongs in the HOF after winning like 60% of his career starts with this shithead as head coach.

Outside a handful of professional reviews that have focused on the film’s numerous technical flaws, I’ve found the response to TLJ to be rather confusing as I strongly disagree with both the shrieking super-fan outrage as well as the smugly pretentious counterarguments against that shrieking fan outrage. While often

maybe that’s my problem, I don’t consider his little trick to be particularly badass. clever, but pretty underwhelming as something so incredible that the effort almost immediately kills him.

It’s not that I think Luke “would never do that”, it’s that we have no knowledge of what happened between the end of RotJ and the attempted murder of Ben Solo to understand how he got to that point, so it just feels kind of hollow. In TFA most people assumed he had gone into exile out of a sense of shame and failure

Yes. I’d like to reiterate that I love this movie. Disney is fantastic. Rian Johnson is fantastic. All my previous comments were taken out of context. And on an unrelated note, Mickey Mouse isn’t a racist caricature and Walt Disney is not a cyborg living underneath Disneyland.

The problem with any discussion of TLJ is that it’s NOT an objectively bad movie. But it IS intentionally dismissive of the Star Wars cannon (even if we only look at Disney’s very abbreviated list of cannon sources).

I am being treated well and have been given the opportunity to say the Pledge of Allegiance to the Magic Kingdom of Disney. Please continue to watch The Last Jedi for the sake of myself and my family.

Isn’t it kind of obvious from the story telling that he wasn’t involved?

SEO Wars

I just remember them (Hold on, I’ll do a spoiler thing so people don’t freak out)

and it was like, dang, actually you can tell a fresh and surprising story in this Star Wars universe

Just to bring some disturbing historical context into this, that’s exactly what some slave masters would do to their biggest and strongest slaves. They would sodomize them in front of the others to “prove” their power and strike fear into them. This shit goes round and round.

ding ding ding. and having black guys repeating the n word over and over in his movies so white bros can quote it afterwards has always been a shitty move.

who’s this “we?” i have hated tarantino from day one. everything you listed plus playing a rape scene for laffs in pulp fiction = not down with his bullshit. never. ever.

I don’t think so. tarantino does not hide his flaws. He broadcasts them openly. This is a guy with a well publicized foot fetish who wrote a scene where salma hayek shoves her foot down his throat.
We were ok with him manipulating her into quasi prostitution on camera, and we just out and let him say the N word as much

The kind of fucked up where you know you could get him fired and jailed in ten minutes. Crews was 100% on point.

Batman has always been the personification of America’s “secret” belief that private wealth and violence are the cure for poverty and mental illness. I suspect this comment section will prove how uncomfortable people get when it’s called to attention.

I disagree. Trump is bad. I did not vote for him or Hillary. But under Clinton, the white supremacists would have continued to hide & continually spread their venom & do their dirt. Trump dog-whistled them out of hiding into the public where now this 400-year old question of racism is finally being confronted.

While I, too, am horrified by Trump’s presidency and all that it reveals about our nation, it is a good and necessary thing that widespread attention is finally being focused on the enduring reality of white supremacy. We now have a unique opportunity to see and name systematic racism clearly and think strategically
