Thank God. Nuns and religious sisters are awesome. (By the way, there’s a difference between nuns and religious sisters. Most people you think are nuns are probably sisters.)
A similar thing happened to me, with a guy I had a huge crush on. Fortunately, it wasn’t so public. He danced with me, then one of his friends told me he had done it as a dare. (He just said it to me, not to everyone.) It made me really sad, but at least it wasn’t the public humiliation you had to endure. :(
