Zero, you would be charged with assault if they decided to charge you.
You aren’t an asshole if you don’t want an experience you paid for to be ruined by something you find distracting or unpleasant.
I don’t think you’d have to be an asshole to not want captions on the film you are paying $12 to see. But you can change your plans and see it another time so that a group of disabled people can enjoy an outing. It’s not too much to ask of able-bodied cinephiles.
Do captions really bother non-hearing impaired folks?
I’m a film projectionist and it’s not as easy as turning the closed captions on. Films come on drives now, and they are unlocked with digital “keys.” The keys unlock all the different versions on the film (2D, 3D, 5.1, 7.1 etc) These keys come from the distributors, and unless they are provided and then installed,…
La-teen-ecks is the way I have heard it the most but there is some contention between Spanish as a primary language users and those of us who use English primarily since that pronunciation is more reliant on English pronunciation. There has been some saying it should be more of an -es pronunciation which would be more…
So, as a Bioware employee, can you tell me why your game is trash?
If there isn’t any info about a game out there, it’s shit.
That makes more sense to me. Why make a special carve out for women with terrible periods when you could cover anyone who needs a few extra days off a month to deal with their chronic medical issues, and avoid the sexist backlash in the process?
As always, putting the blame on landlords (or, in this case, the service landlords are using) for profiting off scarce housing is stupid. The blame lies solely with the cities themselves, who refuse to allow more housing because it will “ruin the character of the city” or some horseshit. There’s not enough supply to…
On the one hand, everyone should be fairly compensated for their work, be they freelancers, artists, contractors, etc etc. I hope these hard working artists are able to return to adequate pay soon.
These posts are getting old. “Man parks collection of fire trucks in front of house” “man parks airplane in driveway”. Can we stop defending these people? They are any eyesore, and they make the neighborhood look like a circus, which hurts house prices. What’s so wrong with neighbors trying to maintain their house…
Articles like this always make me sad. I read this article on Vice and it conflated many different issues. I personally am a VA employee and know that this specific instance in the article, he did not report his divorce to the correct source. He had them removed from his medical benefits but not his disability…
Colorado has over 7x the population of North Dakota. That means, optimistically, that there are 7x fewer marijuana consumers in North Dakota than in Colorado. Assuming equal prices and consumption (a dangerous assumption) and equal taxation (probably wrong too), legal weed would bring in only $18 million a year in…
The pipeline issue has been very politicized, but looking at it rationally it does make sense
Also, this article pays short shrift to the views of the girls who would get their own school, as noted in the WaPo article. The girls didn’t want the school, they wanted - and will get - something else. Being knee-jerk cuts both ways, and this click-baity article irritates me.
As near as I can tell attendance is not restricted on the basis of race. Admission seems to be governed by a lottery system that considers factors such as living in close proximity to the school and already having a sibling in attendance.
As a black guy living in the UK, i really feel for my brothers and sisters in the US.
This does skate over the fact that millennials, especially white millennials, had far stronger support for Sanders than for Clinton. When the DNC did its utmost to neutralize Sanders’ candidacy a lot of those people were disillusioned and ended up not voting at all.
