Trying things isn’t always a good idea. Sometimes, the things we try end up being a waste of time and money. Even if those things are education.We need to actually think “Will educating this group of people about this thing actually help, or will it just look good without actually doing anything of value?”

When you make a law requiring them to have this education and training, even though it’s unrelated to their job and probably won’t amount to anything. Or when the state spends money developing and providing this extra education and training which probably won’t amount to anything.
