Agreed. I saw as many hardcore defenders as I did detractors; people who probably never would have given the movie a second glance, but decided to watch it 2-3 times, just to spite “dude-bros”. Internet comments didn’t kill this movie, poor trailers and reviews did, along with a blockbuster level cgi and marketing

Translation: sources say maybe this movie will do better than that movie because it’s a different movie. Some might even say not every movie featuring women is the same.

I kind of agree with him. There should be Johnny cards out there that might not be competitive, but are fun to play with. It’s not hard to imagine making a fun deck based around powerful minions with drawbacks and ways to remove those drawbacks. My problem is when he tried to rationalize away the 1 mana version by

I agreed with you up until the end, when I read what the bill actually said. If the punishments don’t go into effect unless there’s actual harm to the kid as a result of the diet, then by all means, punish away. Especially if it results in death.

Probably the fact that “the school district” being punished translated directly into punishing all of the innocent kids who attend school there.

They’ve been playing the incident up in the media ever since it occurred, doing things like publicly issuing a threat to sue instead of actually suing, moving to Qatar, and talking to anyone who would listen about it. The family (mostly the dad), is obviously interested in cashing in on Ahmed’s misfortune.

Nobody said you didn’t understand sports, just that you probably don’t care about who swam the fastest. I know I sure as hell don’t.

Probably not. There’s a pretty big difference between watching a basketball game and watching some guys swim laps. Without the backstories, it’s really boring.

Right. I don’t give a damn who won or about the emotional journey. I just like watching the competition, and if NBC wants to make that easier by pushing it into prime-time TV, good for them.

Isn’t it kind of their job to know what you want? And nobody said they knew it better than you, just that they knew it.

My biggest problem with Hillary has always been her supporters; it feels like the only good thing they have to say about her is that she’s the lesser of two evils. Nobody is disputing that she’s been bought and paid for by people making hundreds of times as much as me, or that her policies probably won’t do a thing to

I miss the days when anonymus’ unofficial motto was “We are not your personal army.”

Who did you request the refund from? Niantic, or Google/Apple? Because if it was the later, then Niantic kept your money. Money Google and Apple refund for apps comes straight from their own pocket.

Did it flop now? I’ve been hearing different things from different people, usually depending on whether they were personally fans or not.

Except it’s not taking money out of their pocket. When Google or Apple refund an in-app purchase, they do so with their own money, and don’t charge the developer for it. Refunding your purchases takes money out of Google/Apple’s pocket, not Niantic’s.

I used to work phone support for the Google Playstore. Any refunds they give come directly from Google, not Nianti. Technically, the Google Play Store terms of service require them to have a process to refund you when something like this happens, but nobody ever does. They all tell anyone who asks for a refund that

Taking away her crown sets an example too: If you ever do anything wrong, it will be thrown in your face later, so you better be absolutely perfect from the second you come out of the womb. If not, then you don’t deserve anything, no matter how hard you work for it.

She was 14, she wasn’t thinking about any kind of consequences. It’s not much of a mystery.

She’s 17 now, which means when she made those posts in 2013, she was 14. I think we can give her a pass on this. Kids not understanding the complexities of race relations or why they can’t use the same words their friends do is not news, even if that kid later grows up to win a beauty pagent.

You made a $4000 down payment on a house? Must not be a very good house.
