Back in the late 70s/early 80s a lot of vehicle would start to knock on regular as they got up in miles. Frequently using midgrade would stop the knocking.

$239 being the cheapest lease in America is incredible. Absolutely ridiculous.
Exactly. I Don worry about depreciation, because I keep my cars until they start costing more in repairs than replacements. I get the full use out of them.
“ “With demand for near-new vehicles on the decline, used car values are depreciating similarly to the way they did before the pandemic,”
The Nissan Altima is the obvious answer, but there’s another that I’ve observed in my commute: Dodge Chargers. They’re getting up there in years and don’t hold value. As a result, they’re landing in buy-here pay-here lots and being snatched up by idiots.
The EV weighs 5,8xx pounds.
Nobody else thinks this vehicle looks sorta odd?
Manual cars ARE safer. My original response to the OP was removed (intentionally), but I’ll continue to disagree, that it’s a stupid myth (or a myth in general). You’re obviously lying if you think a manual car doesn’t force you to pay some kind of attention to the act of driving and your surroundings. You’re also…
You don’t think parents have the Today Show on in the morning? For real?
The US has similar trucks, but they are full sized trucks. With English Road widths, I think a Ranger or even a Maverick sized truck would be a better fit.
So it’s an actual truck—meant for getting stuff done by hauling a lot of stuff—I love it. Such a welcome sight compared to those overbearing crew-cab sedans with the exposed trunks that now pass for “trucks”.
I think it was the fundamental shift that happened in the U.S. 55 years ago with the belief that a company’s only responsibility is to increase profits (thank you Milton Friedman). Most people still believe this, yet act surprised when cost cutting measures have negative consequences for the general public. It’s the…
If the following image is, in fact, the same woman at different times then WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO HER?!?
Meghan Kelly has no room to talk about getting work done.
They’ve been consistently “understaffed” since the BLM protests.
If they’re committing outright fraud with stuff like forged signatures, how have the cops not done anything?
That is wild and awesome. But my inner pedant takes issue with the “highest launch.” It landed “40 km from the launch site,” but the launch site was 35 km above ground. So it went, what 5 km horizontally? It’s glide ratio was only 1/7? That’s pretty bad.
Using a hill would disqualify it from a record. Check out
Yeah, for the vast majority of consumers, finicky, unreliable, and expensive to maintain cars are not “satisfying”
It seems like most, but not all, people are soul-crushingly boring and loving it.
