Your experience is identical to mine except that it is Chrome that I honestly tried to use, but the hiccups and strange behavior kept me on Firefox.

Thanks for the tip. Looks like something I should be asking for Christmas.

I honestly can't remember the last time I actually woke up in the morning on my own. It has to have been over 6 years ago when my first child was born.

It depends on whether the product is something I can find an alternative for. Like my telephone service for example. I switched companies and swore never to deal with the first company again due to poor customer service. This was easy because there were alternatives.

Windows Explorer

If you add the following features to Google Tasks you have my dream version:

Too bad most laptops don't have a number keypad.

As much as it seems like a shameless plug, I completely agree with you about Lifehacker. It is my number one resource for finding good downloads.

@brianary: nope. don't mind it at all

@n8thagr8: OK. I might be able to dig up a pencil too.

Stuff I have around my house?

Never thought about it before how my answer is completely opposite for my phone and my computer. I like native apps for my phone, but I like browser apps on my computer.

Since I have a pay as you go voice plan and I only use the internet sparingly, I really want a dedicated app that allows me to take items offline and then syc when I get back to my home Wifi.

I already have this. It's called "The Internet"

@Nihilexistentialist: I don't know why it is not default, but I would switch it back immediately if it came as default. This is one reason I can't use Chrome. I double click on the title bar all the time to maximize or normalize windows and having the tabs up there doesn't let me do it.

How about no home tab at all. That is how I would use (or not use) it.

I hope an extension comes out that can add a sidebar for bookmarks. I ain't touching Google Chrome until I get my bookmarks sidebar.

LastPass is absolutely awesome. However, there is one thing that prevents me from using it over Roboform and that is the fact that it won't work in IETab tabs in Firefox whereas Roboform does. Unfortunately, I have a couple of key sites that require opening in IE and I refuse to actually open IE just for these sites.

It's about time they start looking at startup time. Because that is the one and only complaint I have about firefox. It is the single thing that makes me consider Google Chrome or another browser. Although without extensions, I will never switch to Chrome.
