Pinch collars do not harm a dog and the “pinch” isn’t painful. The pinch is designed to distract bad behavoir and focus the dog much like a bump or a touch. This works just like a pack leader’s nip or a mother dogs correction.
Actually two of my dogs are trained well and I’m confident to walk them off leash. They stay at my left side the whole time and aren’t fazed by other people, dogs, or treats. One is a Tibetan Spaniel/french bulldog who is a complete bottom-dog (had no desire at all to exhibit alpha traits) and he loves to be bossed…
No, during training I let 2ft slack max, not enough to get a running start.
Guess what? My german shepherd now walks right beside me, leash or not. The whole idea is to get them to not pull you. You're walking them, not the other way around. Yes great training paid off.
Place it on your thigh and give it a try. It doesn't hurt unless the dog has a running start and gets yanked when the slack goes away. Don't give them that much slack to begin with.

1000 times yes. He is infuriating to watch and bravo to CNN for leaving the camera on him so much to show his asinine behavior to the world. He’s a childish, bitter, megalomaniacal little c***.
It also really pisses me off that these kinds of videos make the rounds in the mainstream media (including facebook, which is now the source of 43% of all network news, anyway).
That is what a lot of people said about WoW. 10 years later still kicking Subscriptions.
Hey, that’s one way to look at it. I ain’t here to judge.
