Yes people depth pressure in independent of shape of the container. BUT the container walls have to hold different loads with different volumes. A circle minimizes surface area more than a square.

I've said this to my friends a millions times, I want a racing game with weapons and items but sim level driving physics. Just toss in a slew of weapons in that video, slightly wider track, and multiplayer. Arena stages with lots of obstacles and jumps would be fun also.
