That wasn't semen, that's gunk that comes out of mare vaginas when they're sexually aroused.

IOW she was Ari Gold but black and female. Like just about every job associated with Jewish men, Jewishness itself is associated with competence in that role, so her being distinctly black (and female) was important.

In the context of expectations for Hollywood agents it was a subversion.

Same. I've never even heard of Stern.

Are there really adults young enough to not remember the triumphant landing of a falling plane in the Hudson River?

I feel like preference for Sonic SatAM over Adventures is a personality test and I'm kind of disappointed the reviewer failed it. Also its inspiration was 1930s Fleischer cartoons not Looney Tunes.

That's what's so FRUSTRATING about him to Beth.

"but rather than take that into some fun territory about some fatal flaw with the sci-fi aspects of the procedure, it just led to more expository character analysis."

The Awesomes is a terrible show but this has the be the most misguided criticism I've ever seen about it. It's the name of the show's superhero team so yes, a bunch of people with powers that inspire awe.

"we're still clearly supposed to sympathize with Frank, who I found to be a needy, self-pitying creep whose behavior throughout is in romantic-comedy stalker mode."

Aiden had no choice but to spend the day with Frank - Frank wouldn't leave him alone. Even after Aiden sent him flying into an alley with a single-armed shove. Also, attractive people are people too and are sometimes moved to imagine things. Especially if they're amusing hypotheticals.

Aren't there plenty of ugly men out there? Plenty of whom would be especially less inclined to think that the only people worthy of their romantic attention are the conventionally beautiful?

I fucking love this episode because I've never seen this kind of nice-guyism addressed in the gay community (or at all, this directly).
