Haha I get you. I’m going to start a list of interested people and make a post next week about getting started.

I loved it too! The medieval setting with cosmic consequences made for a really nice story. And Semley’s Necklace really got to me because it’s such a nice little story and the simple but super consequential twist was really shocking. It also really helped set up the rest of the book.
I’m going to start collecting names of interested people this week, and I’ll make a post next week about getting things started 😁
Nice! Any ideas about what it should look like? It was suggested to use outside chatrooms, which makes sense but I like the idea of using an SNS thread.
I do see that people on Jeez have been using chatrooms to communicate. I’ll see about doing that.
It’s her first published novel, so it’s not particularly deep but it’s a very fun and well written. Her novels “The Left Hand of Darkness” and “The Dispossessed” are masterpieces in my view.
I had trouble starting Catch-22 and gave up. I was really quite sure the book would be for me, but nope.
Would anyone be interested in starting something of an ongoing book club or literary discussion thread? I’m trying to read more and different things and I’ve been itching to discuss much of what I’ve read but it’s hard when no one else around me had read the same thing.
Love this song, good choice.
Of course! And I totally understand the feeling that you’re cheating. I know I was pretty adamant about not getting a cat after I lost Prince, but then after a few months the absence of an animal in the house became kind of unbearable. That stretch of time was also the only point in my life where I didn’t have a pet,…
This post is my first impression of you, and let me just say that you sound like a really wonderful, caring, and selfless person.
I’m so sorry, it’s never easy to lose a pet. I lost my orange tabby a year ago, he was 13 and over the course of several months stopped eating and lost so much weight, making the decision to have him put down was devastating. However it does get to a point where it’s clear that the suffering can’t continue.
I’m so excited that you have your tickets! I hope you have the time of your life in NYC!
Thank you! I’ll look into these
There’s a blurb from Obama?! This must be amazing, thank you!
Thank you! Someone else suggested Olivia Butler, I should definitely check her out. iRobot is a great suggestion because I have not read it.
I just finished reading The Dispossessed by Ursula Le Guin, and boy was it great. She is definitely one of my favorite authors.
I didn’t see it but the Lutheran High School in my hometown of Appleton Wisconsin did The Wiz some years ago.
Yeah but if he was missing for a while first, wouldn’t his property have been searched pretty early on?
Oh I definitely know about shoveling snow on your own property, and maybe I’m young but I keep my wallet and cell phone in my pockets at pretty much all times, without second thought.
