YISSSSSSSSSSSS

I don't know about others, but it really bothers me when someone decides to call me a "mutt" or "smoothie." Yes, I am hotter than you. No, I'm not a dog or consumable food item.

Hey, the Sailor Moon reboot could suck, just like the last Sailor Moon reboot. >.>;;;;;

As a female, I also think mantoko is fugly. What now?

That is exactly what it means, yes.

It looks like 'fetishization' because it is. Way to propagate it, Kotaku.

The Japanese subtitle on the "family" scene is interesting indeed... "A human's (or humanity's, depending on context) greatest weakness is love."

Awwww, dammit, dammit, dammit. I'll be doing neurology rotations then. ;_;

Hi. I realize that lately it's become really popular to use the 'broken rising sun' imagery as a (conveniently easy?) representation of the crisis as a physically (techtonically) shifted Japan. Unfortunately, the rising sun isn't simply a depiction of the physical body of the nation. Rather, it is interpreted as a

In order to draw what's in your mind, you have to first learn to draw what's outside. The more practice you have drawing objects/people/whatever, the more familiar you become with things like perspective, lighting, and value. Don't get frustrated—get practice!

For a wacom tablet like the graphire or bamboo, think of the drawing surface as your screen. For example, the upper left corner on the tablet, is the upper left corner on your desktop. The lower right corner on the tablet is the lower right corner of your desktop. You'll notice this is different from mice in that

I quite agree. It would've been a lot more informative if they'd shown us work on blank 'canvas' at a decent, non-glare-city angle so we could _actually_ see if it's any better than, say, a pogo sketch. Still not pressure sensitive, but that's not going to happen for a long while yet, I suspect...

That's a lot closer to Akron than it is to Cleveland. Quit making us look bad! ;_;

@geolemon: Which is just fine if you're on wheels with diameter at, say, 90-110mm.

@mike.ferenduros001: I was actually really confused by that. While the animation work is done in Korea, all of the promotional goods manufacture is likely done in China.

That looks remarkably like a training simulator used in hospitals and med schools. Actually, that's exactly what it is. We have a couple of non-robotic ones here, which are a giant pain in the ass to use, as you have to insert and then subsequently remove your own fake baby. I don't know about you, but that doesn't

No love for Dr. Light, the man who built a boy to save a city from machinations of one Dr. Wily?

@Dickeydoo: I've been told that usually by this point they are so traumatized/embarassed they'll tell you everything you need to know. It may not be the whole story (or even the truth), but it'll do.

@TheFirstBardo: I echo the sentiment of the others saying that it is self-contained. Also, you could always queue it up at the library!

I've done this and it works remarkably well, though we used it to access a closet that was largely outside of the house. That in itself was rather convenient as the box could be changed by opening the outside door, thus sparing the rest of the house.
