I’m guessing they figured Seth Meyers had enough to say for everyone.

Chinese investment.
It’s absolutely an eyes-wide-open take on Barnum as a phenomenon. You’re not intended to love him, that’s for sure.
Reminds me of the 3 or 12 movies they did about Steve Jobs. We all know about him!
We did Barnum when I was in high school (I know, it’s a weird choice for a suburban high school!) and the first thing I did when seeing a trailer was google the song list, because I was simultaneously terrified and ecstatic that it was a movie version of Barnum. Still disappointed it isn’t.
Just want to get in one last “fuck Kinja” of the year, but a best films retrospective should literally have attracted thousands of comments at this point, and you’ve managed...117. Congratulations.
Also, I saw someone point out that Spurlock’s comment about being alcoholic for the past 30 years really undermines Super Size Me, since at one point in the film a doctor says that his liver “looks like an alcoholic’s” after eating McDonald’s for so long. Like... damn. We now know that he was an alcoholic. That’s not…
Sounds like they actually did it right there, if he didn’t sexually harass anyone else at MSNBC after that. He was caught, he was reprimanded and forced to pay a five-figure settlement/penalty, and so on. If it turns out he has a history of doing this then it’s completely different.
Except that never actually happened.
I watched the entire first season, but mostly because of Claudia O’Doherty, who is just outstandingly funny. Jacobs is wonderful, too, but Paul Rust’s character made me want to claw my eyes out. Perhaps it’s the mark of good writing that he got under my skin so much, but I began to seethe with anger whenever I saw him…
You mean the show with no story to tell has ran out of story to tell?
And ENABLERS. Whom you seem desperately to want to be, since you’ve argued your “point of view” three times and said literally nothing new the second two times. Yours is only one POV ... and you’re sliding into the “gentleman doth protest too much” category really really fast with all that frothing at the mouth you’re…
“Sometimes, acceptance of what has come before is more revolutionary than all the hacks in the world.”
You’re part of the problem by saying #notallmen instead of saying #nothing.
Ok. I’ve been a parent for a decade (single for the past few years) and have one very special needs kiddo. Of course it will be difficult at times. There will be times you lock yourself in the bathroom and cry or take a hit or scream into a towel because you need to. But this “woe is me. I don’t know how to control my…
As a political scientist: fuck Mark Halperin and his cult of “insider knowledge.”
Sooooo, they paid many, many millions trying to keep (and shield) a man who kept them from rising in the ratings. Y’okay.
No, it sure as fuck isn’t, and I really miss AVClub and having to settle for whatever this is.
I’ve finished the season, I can’t wait for the reviews to catch up. Not sure when TBS decided to just dump the entire season but I went to watch the 2 for one week and then my cable kept offering the next episode until suddenly...I was done!
I’m still liking them, which is why I’m still watching. I’m worried for the characters because it is inevitable where things will lead, but they have to be brought to justice. It’s a weird mix of feelings I have watching this series, which I think is the storytelling’s intent.
