No one should ever doubt Eddie Vedder.

Chicago is a pretty terrific outpost for the show, it’s more accessible to a lot of people and it has an incredibly thriving theater scene. Not sure what the ticket situation will be, probably more information by the end of Summer.

Yep. imo it’ll be done like Spike Lee’s Passing Strange was filmed for HBO. But honestly I hope LMM pushes for movie-theater releases like they have streamed out of the West End in London. It’s a great way to make theater more accessible and is a shame the US/Broadway Theater has still not worked out a similar

Ticketmaster/Stubhub is legit one of the worst things that ever happened to live entertainment. It’s a hellspawn of supply/demand models that screws over everybody. Im glad LMM and the Hamilton producers are trying to take it on.

It’s opening a semi-permanent outpost in Chicago next year. Simultaneously as they put a touring company on the road. It’s ambitious as hell, but LMM is nothing less than committed to making the show accessible to those who otherwise wouldn’t have much of an option.

If you’re being this obtuse on the IT it takes to secure a reliable database for a company like Uber, just wait til you find out about their profit margins.

See, female star atheletes: JUST LIKE THEIR MALE COUNTERPARTS!

You realize there were prominent female writers in the 1960s, right? Taleses’ contemporaries include Joyce Carol Oates who out-wrote him in their competing works on Boxing, and the downtroden men who aspire to make their life in the ring or die trying.

Counter point: Did the media expend millions of dollars worth of exposure so a human bag of dayglo papaya could run for president because it was good for revenues? (Yes.)

This is making me think we need more justices that actually understand stepping out of their house. Not the steps of justice (well maybe that too) but their literal house.

Preach.

I’ve noticed it and I think the contrast is intentional. I also think they’ve made a great step in saying “people are complicated” with Clarke and Darden.

I had a v different read on that. It was more Darden taking advantage of an emotional leverage in their relationship to say “fuck it” and force the glove-try. Not maliciously but still. Marcia had her hands tied at that point and you can see the Whyyyyyyy Whyyyyyyy head-desk a mile away.

Hey you got points, incredibly valid ones. In no way am I suggesting the experiences of Asians and Black Americans are similar. I am responding to the idea Asians had an easy time of it - which you are already well aware is far, far, from the truth. I do just want to mention that anyone of Asian ancestry didn’t have

And that reservation makes total sense to me, coming from your pov. There’s no saying that the experiences of Asians and Blacks in America are parallel or catchall for sympathy. But knowing that the Portugese did enslave Pacific Islanders and Chinese and brought them to the slave trade going on thru Mexico in the

Nah it was for the comment above yours. Thanks, Kinja.

So I guess Malcolm X dying in the arms of Yuri Kochiyama is other races doing the least?

Except Asians were slaves in America... the entire railway was done with forced Asian labor. And forced into mining during the gold rush.

Because America’s treatment of Asians has been so much better? Like the Chinese slaves who were brought in to build the railroads and mine for gold and precious metals on sites bought by white companies.
