Go get yer shine box.
Go get yer shine box.
Barrington, IL barely exists as a place anyways. More like a place you drive through to get other places. I must have driven through it thousands of times going between Elgin and Schaumburg, but only ever gone to something there once.
“Whether you agree or disagree with Scorsese’s criticism of Marvel, it’s undeniable that big blockbuster filmmaking has suppressed smaller, independent movies”
Clearly, they aren’t suppressing the ability of Scorsese to get a $200 million budget to make a 206-minute period piece.
Lost in Translation cost $4 million and was 106 minutes. Nomadland cost $5 million. The Father cost $6 million. CODA cost $10 million. That Tammy Faye thing Chastain won for cost $2.7 million.
This is a strange story about a strange survey. Not much context and so many unexplained variables. Do I have to go read the survey?
Back in the days of the phone book places would name themselves AAA Haircut or AAAA Anal Gland Removal to get first listing.
That I hadn’t seen, but I believed it as a thing that would happen. Also there was that movie with Gretchen Mol, I think, about diving horses? And mules are half horse so why not.
You really aren’t going to mention that her costume is literally “inspired by struck content”? I.e. the mace that caved in Gogo’s skull. This costume is like an onion and I love it.
the gate... fun one. the mutilator is a must see. i support horror and shudder... at 5 bucks a month it’s very worth it. sometimes i just have the live channel on in the background.
This would have been a much better episode if Dave Grohl hosted. He was literally RIGHT THERE
Hello, fellow old person, as I know EXACTLY what you’re talking about. I remember even as a kid wondering why that shit was still in there when there were commercials throughout.
Oh, for fuck’s sake, just do what I did and piss yourself in the theater. It’s not like they don’t have people to clean it up!
I love this live performance of the song, I think it’s a lot cooler than the famous single (which is a classic). Their sound reminds me of a goofier Everly Brothers here.
That’s Butch’s favorite part too!
And Brad Pitt couldn't have beaten him up either.
Who?
I’ll have to give that one a shot. Gonjiam was a fun watch but the subtitles kind of take away from the trying to keep your eyes focused on the corners and in the shadows looking for the next surprise.
I was in the same boat. First one was a breath of fresh air in its own way and had a good story rooted in this sorta reality based story....a buncha people decide to make a haunted house walkthrough out of an abandoned hotel and strange shit begins to happen. I liked it because it had some creepy parts that got a lot…
I’m loving these little toss-off pieces you guys are doing lately about just various diversions and digressions that catch your fancy. It’s starting to feel like real inessential-in-a-good-way cultural commentary like the AV Club of old, not just AI dumps.
