He was already cast in another show and couldn’t commit. Thus, we got New Jeffy.

I was waiting for Gene to go into the security office the day of the crime, only to find out the security guy had a heart attack from all the sugar
Not necessarily. There isn’t any real rush to do the caper, so they could take a while to set it up. They are talking about different college football games constantly which only happen once a week. It could have been multiple successive weeks up to a couple months to get it all down pat.
Correct, I rewatched all the B&W flashforwards ahead of this season’s premiere.
HOW, in God’s name, did that Security Guard not get sick of Cinnabon’s every day?
Based on many of the sports references between Gene and the security guy, this episode would seem to be set in late 2013. I had always assumed the Omaha story was set in present day, but it’s apparently only about three years after the events of Breaking Bad.
I loved the Dirty Dozen homage with Gene making rhymes…
The head of mall security isn’t as depressed as Gene because he gets to go home to Christie Brinkley.
So they broke into a semi trailer and moved 2k lbs of lockers from the back of it to some other vehicle that can carry 2k lbs of lockers in 27 minutes without anyone thinking it was suspicious??
I personally expected them to have cash inside somehow.

Charlie really only practices bird law though.
Now THIS is insensitive!

It took THIS article for me to know there is a Justified revival?! I’m so stoked. It was one of my all time favorite shows!
The only time I ever enjoyed John Wayne was in his role as Rooster Cogburn in the first film of True Grit. Then I saw the Coen Bros. film, and Bridges blew the Duke right out of the water.
Some major bait-and-switch with that taut action-packed pilot. But, yes, I did enjoy the cast very much and the dude abides.
Im a big Jeff Head, but these comparisons remind me that “there can be only one” Mike Ehrmantraut...
I am going to watch the finale. It has gotten pretty boring but I am going to be optimistic. After that first episode I feel like they blew their load on the action stuff.
