I think you really got the nail on the head here with that last part. I'll admit I have not read the book, but based on the many reviews I've read, it really does not sound all that groundbreaking.

Seriously! I barely have the energy for my own business, nevermind someone else's.

My older brother (technically half ) looks just like my dad(my dad adopted him). My son looks just my wife. In fact, my wife only has one biological child out of the four ( she is trans so this was pretransition and she is both of ours) and all of her adopted stepkids look lik her and our shared child looks like me. 

The best part is, the number truly is real. I called it just to see what would happen and cackled like a mad woman at the recording. 

I hope that child never forgets his father’s abhorrent behavior that day and works to change this shit. With a dad like that, it's not likely, but a girl can hope. You are going to scare the shit out of your own kid and leave him crying so you can play tough guy? Gtfoh
