As I understand it, Jeep charges extra to use navigation on their screens. Or you can use CarPlay for free. GM wants the sweet sweet subscription money without providing an alternative, and they are hoping consumers are dumb enough to bite. Ford is rightfully giddy about this prospect.

What a great way to increase the number of people running red lights. This will end up adding fatalities, not decreasing them.

I went to Austin the last two years. The first year GA and it was insane, the second year in a $550 grandstand seat which was a lot better but crazy money. This year grandstand seats start at around $1000.

After she died I watched this segment and just cried.

It made me want to go to Vietnam, which I am scheduled to do in a few months. And “Jeremy Clarkson...FAIL” is repeated in my house frequently to this day.

Making progress. Now make sprint qualifying different than the main one. Some people inexplicably like single lap qualifying. I think it’s nowhere near as interesting as the format we have, but for the sprint race? Why not?

The NFT piece of this tells you this project took long enough to be ready for sale that the total collapse of that fools gold market happened before these were released.

The photo of CART at Road America. Man I miss that series. Fast cars with a great sound, great drivers, and a diverse selection of tracks from street courses, road courses, small ovals and super speedways. Genuinely great.

This article should be titled “These terrible cars make great engine donors for your next project”

Y’all need to read your history. They tried making DST permanent in 1974. It proved so profoundly unpopular that they undid it within the year. Why? Because DST is just arbitrarily altering the clock to pretend it is later in the day than it is. Which means that mornings in a lot of the country are DARK. And having

The convertible take is spot on. I have never regretted getting the convertible version of the M3. Ever. It’s amazing. Cars are better without a roof.

Good. Flippers add zero value but drive up prices and inflate demand. May they all lose their shirts.

This can’t be right. Unfortunately I lived there for thirteen years. Hesperia, Victorville and Apple Valley are all within twenty minutes of each other, and it’s a driving community (you can’t go anywhere without a car and the weather is always awful) so one station with a big parking lot would be absolutely enough.

I like your list, I would swap Williams and Alpha Tauri. But otherwise it feels like you have encapsulated what we’ve seen so far well.

Nothing at all special?

The Alfa livery looks like they ran out of paint halfway through the job. Sorry, not even close to best on the list.

Every car made to the 2012 F1 regulations. Clearly no one at the FIA thought through what would happen when they made these regs. Embarrassing.

Depends on the age. Our daughter had what we called “restaurant mode” which was turn into a fussing crying machine until the exact moment we walked out of the restaurant. She was otherwise delightful. Needless to say we didn’t go out much, and thankfully she grew out of it.

Zero to none? Every back of the pack racer with nothing to lose would try this to get more points. It was awesome and bold and risky. But now that it worked you KNOW we’d see something like it again this year. And ultimately it’s a video game move and dangerous in real life.

Every time someone says “lithium bad” it’s followed by a comment saying this is right wing tin foil hat conspiracy theories.
