Shows beautiful blue accord in lead.

LA is bonkers at times. I saw a Vector in the wild in the early 90’s (with a headlight out). But I see more classic British cars since moving East. Weird.

My whole life “Everything is better as a convertible”

It’s funny you would mention Subaru. After driving an Outback with the awful CVT, I specifically searched out an older one with an auto and we bought it. I don’t care if it’s “dull” it is still better than any cvt.

Stay away from the early 3.0s with the anything with a cvt

This made my morning. Thanks for the laugh, glad you didn’t get snuffed out by your waterbed...

Ages ago my grandfather was “taking a shortcut” in his Ford Granada and took a hard jeep trail over the mountains in Colorado. As he was nearing the end someone asked him how far he got before he turned around, and he explained he hadn’t turned around, he came from the other end. They took pictures of him and the car

Ask 1000 people “Which do you want, a Free Dodge Charger or Free Tesla” and see how many Dodges you give away...

If I was your neighbor we would have talked, a lot, by now. And when I was moving and wanted my neighbors yard to not look like a used car lot, I walked over and asked if he could move things around a bit and make it look better. He happily complied because we were, and still are, friends.

I’ve spent a lot of time under the hood of my M3 working on an S52. The engine itself is pretty reliable. The car has plenty of issues, but the engine is solid. That said, I’ve never worked on a 2JZ. But as far as power and potential for power, none of the excellent BMW I-6’s come close to the 2JZ...

BMW M30, M88, S38, S50, S54 etc. And although it gets no love, the S52 is a delight to drive.

Ditto. There was a poll on here years ago on what country makes the best six cylinders. Japan won, and I asked in the comments how this could be with all the amazing six cylinders BMW has cranked out over the years. Someone replied with the “2JZ - that thing is a beast!” My first response was “no way it’s better” and

One of THE best ads of all time. Glad someone else remembers it.

Those videos are fun. Will an engine work with bacon grease as engine oil? As a matter of fact, yes! It was fun and many people were entertained.

How DARE Project Farm offer useful comparisons without accepting sponsorship, without getting the product for free, without begging for subscribes or likes and without spending half of the video running ads. What a jerk.

Carnival won’t sail if it’s not legal, so your declaration that anyone choosing to take a cruise is selfish is just your own opinion. I missed the memo that gave you the authority to decide what choices were good and which were dumb. And calling people names isn’t good journalism, sorry, it’s more at home in a high

“Jerks” who set the cannonball records, “morons” who did something I don’t remember now etc. Of course, based on the comment below calling me names, this is apparently what the audience wants.

Jalopnik now appears to be focused on writing articles shaming or calling people names that have different priorities than you do.

That video is a perfect demonstration of why wow and flutter numbers matter. That turntable sounds awful. Sorry, car guy and audio geek here.

When did calling people names become journalism?
