... better sex / body education for both sexes and demand that they both know... saying one or the other is useless only hurts the greater whole in the long run. ... I didn’t mean for that pun, but it works and I’m not changing it.

There’s been a few reported crashes, a lot of clowns carrying chains and trying to lure kids into the woods with candy. Sightings everywhere.
Probably the same way I missed that Purgatory didn’t get axed. I only read the one article because it was something the Church changed and that’s a miracle on it’s own. Keeping something around probably didn’t rate showing back up on my the aggregator sites I used at the time. Benedict also wanted to re-instate Latin…
I’m sorry, I thought I apologized awhile back about this and saying that I missed the article relaying that Purgatory was reaffirmed while Limbo was removed because the Cardinals believed the teachings held enough flexibility about it.
They kind of are, though... The other groups have some false knowledge because they never questioned their teachers/religious leaders, but then Catholics are bad about that, too... which is why I left the Church. I asked too many questions and never got satisfactory answers.
The “Church” as we know it to be has undergone several changes over time (At one point there were THREE Popes that all excommunicated each other and started several small wars before order was re-established and the Orthodox Church officially separated from the Roman Church). The Jewish guys that hung out as apostles…
I mean, I don’t think Purgatory officially was called out as such, either. They pull out passages that hint at a time/place that is meant for cleansing the soul before being accepted into Heaven, but whether that was something that all people get to slip into or was a particular gift from special individuals was never…
I didn’t get any gifts. Just told my name was written in the big book of Catholic members under the Vatican somewhere and patted on the back. And it took us until 8th grade. Not sure why they waited that long to graduate us, since the last three years didn’t add anything extra.
Well, I’ll be damned (too late), you’re completely right. I could of sworn I saw that they repealed it, but it seems what I read was that they instead reaffirmed it as alright instead of repealing it because reasons. Today I learned. I think it stemmed from Benedict outright abolishing Limbo and setting his eyes on…
I’ve had it happen about three or four times now, unfortunately.
The American Catholic Bishops and Cardinals have all shown their outright disagreement with any of the popes (John Paul II, as well) that show any forgiveness of people that don’t fit into the lines. One of the reasons I gave up on the faith. They’re heading straight toward another Schism just because they can’t get…
DUDE I thought I was the only one that stopped right after confirmation. I actually lost my virginity the week before, too... so that was fun when my parents found out. I think I was just glad to get away from CCD.
But to use the two separate terms just seems off... Seeing as how they’re all Christian faiths. Being raised Catholic I got to have all the fun discussions in a town that had ten or twelve different denominations on the same street and all the fellow students that decided I was going to hell and we call Mary god...…
Didn’t you know? They repealed purgatory about five years back. All those unbaptized babies are going straight to hell again.
