Some clown was whining earlier this week about it and posted a list of like 20 “criticisms” he had with the show and most if not all could have been said about the first season.

I think it would be a fun exercise, if it were possible, to have the people making over-the-top criticisms of this season re-watch season 1 from the same lens. It feels to me that a lot of the critiques of S4 would apply to S1, but they were viewed from a different POV.

Without spoilers, I think you could probably pick up a lot of it through context, and I’m sure there will be a recap to get everyone up to speed, but the ending of Gen V season 1 ties directly into The Boys season 4. It’s not at all clear if Gen V characters will be in The Boys though(I’d expect cameos but probably…

Coming from Pizzolatto I’d say it’s probably half misogyny, half egomaniac showrunner/control freak.

For a show that coasted so much on *vibes* Pizzolatto sure has a high f’ing opinion of his own fun but stupid writing.

I can’t help wondering if there is some misogyny in this and a lot of other criticisms of the season. Honestly, it may be my favorite season of the show. 

The people I know who are watching S4 don’t even know the creative team changed, they just know it got good again after 2 seasons they didn’t like. I tell them it’s a new creative team and they’re super surprised.

I liked this show. It wasn’t another goddamm Law and Order. It was an atmospheric thriller and character study. It was nice to see the women get the win. All the ends don’t have to fit.

It’s annoying that they edited it, but I’m more annoyed by people giving her shit for her voice cracking. Like, it happens to every singer. You can’t predict it or account for it, it just happens sometimes. And she recovered from it as smoothly as you possibly can. 

Peter was in the shed in the back yard when Hank arrived. Peter then came into the house, gun drawn, after he heard Hank’s gunshot. This part makes sense, the rest of it not so much.
